To enable the Autorun feature of the CD/DVD drive in Windows 95 or 98, perform the following steps:
- On your screen, locate and click the [Start] button. From the Start menu, point to [Setting] and click [Control Panel].
- In the [Control Panel], double-click the [System] icon.
- In the [System Properties] dialog box, click the [Device Manager] tab.
- Next to the "CDROM", click the plus sign (+). Double-click your particular CD/DVD drive from those listed.
- In the CD/DVD drive's properties dialog box, select the [Settings] tab.
- On the [Settings] tab in the "Options" area, click "Auto insert notification". Click [OK].
- In the [System Properties] dialog box, click [OK].
- For this setting to take effect, restart the computer.
