When I turn my computer on, there's a message on the screen that says "Press F1 for setup". Do I need to press F1?

Pressing the F1 key while your computer is starting will allow you to enter your CMOS setup for the purpose of changing your system settings.
When you receive the computer from Gateway, there are no changes that need to be made. Changes are typically made to the CMOS when hardware is changed or added.
Changing settings in the CMOS is recommended only on the advice of Gateway Technical Support. Changing these settings can cause problems if they are not set correctly.
