Safe Mode bypasses the Config.sys, Autoexec.bat, loads a different System.ini, and then bypasses the Win.ini and StartUp group. It also loads generic video, mouse and keyboard drivers. This allows Windows to start when the startup files or drivers have been corrupted. In Safe Mode, you do not have access to the CD-ROM drive or to the modem. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
