Perform the following steps to create a startup disk.
- Insert a blank, formatted disk in the floppy disk drive.
- On your screen, locate and click the [Start] button. From the [Start] menu, point to [Settings], and then click [Control Panel].
Note: In Windows ME, click "View All Control Panel options". You only need to click "View All Control Panel options" the first time you use the Control Panel.
- In the [Control Panel], double-click the [Add/Remove Programs] icon.
- In the [Add/Remove Programs Properties] dialog box, click the [Startup Disk] tab.
- Click [Create Disk].
- In the [Insert Disk] dialog box, read the message carefully, and then click [OK] when the disk is ready.
- Click [OK] to close the [Add/Remove Programs Properties] window.
