How do I delete the Windows password on Windows Me?

Perform the following steps to delete the Windows password:
- On your screen, locate and click the [Start] button. From the [Start] menu, point to [Search], and then click [For Files or Folders].
- In the [Search for Files or Folders named] window, type "*.pwl".
- Select drive C from gLook inh box, and then click [Find Now].
- After the files are located, from the gEdith menu, click gSelect Allh.
- From the "File" menu, click [Delete].
- When prompted to confirm the file deletion, click [Yes]. Close the "Find:All Files" window.
- On your screen, locate and click the [Start] button. From the [Start] menu, click [Shut Down]. In the [Shut Down windows] dialog box, select "Restart" from the drop-down menu, and then click [Yes].
- In the [Windows logon] dialog box, verify that the gUserh text box has your name in it and that the "Password" text box is empty. Click [OK]. When prompted to confirm the password, click [OK] again.
