 |  | You may have the floppy disk contained a driver. The driver in the floppy disk is the latest the driver. If you have same driver of the parts both Gateway System CD and the floppy disk, you must use the floppy disk. |
- Start up the system.
- Click [Start], [Settings], then [Control Panel].
- Double click [System]. The [System Properties] appears.
- Click the [Device Maneger] tab. In the hierarchical display under [Other Device] is a listing for [PCI Mass Storage Controller.]
- Choose it and then click [Properties].
- Click the [Driver] tab in [Properties], choose [Update Driver], then click [Next].
- Click [Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now(recommended,)] then click [Next].
- Click [Specify Location,] and then Click [Browse]. Select the folder the driver is contained, then press [Enter] key.
- Click [Next]. A message informing you that Windows has found [Promise Technology, Inc.,Ultra66 IDE Controller] should appear.
- Click [Next], [Finish], then [Yes] when asked if you want to restart your computer.
