Preparing for Installation

Procedure with pictures
- Start the Windows.
- On your screen, locate and click on [Start] button. From the Start menu, select [Settings] then click on [Control Panel].
- In the [Control Panel], double click on [Display] icon. The [Display Properties] window appears.
- Click on [Settings] tab on the [Display Properties] window and then click on [Advanced] button. The [Properties] window appears.
- Click [Monitor] tab, and then click [Change] button. The [Select Device] window appears.
- Click [Have Disk].
- Insert the Solo System CD into your either CD/DVD-ROM drive. The [Install From Disk] window appears.

 |  | If the "Portable System CD" window pops up on your Windows desktop screen, close the window by clicking [x] mark where is located at the top of the right-hand side corner of the window. |
- Type as below in "Copy manufacturer's files from" text box, and then click [OK]. The "Select Device" window appears.

 |  | (D:) represents a letter of CD/DVD-ROM drive and vary in each system. If you do not know a letter of your CD/DVD-ROM drive, double click on [My Computer] icon. At the bottom of CD/DVD-ROM icon, there is a drive letter of CD/DVD-ROM drive like a (D:),(E:),(R:) and so on. |
- Select "(Standard monitor types)" from "Manufacturers" and select "Laptop Display Panel (1280x1024)" from "Models". Then click on [OK]. The Properties window appears again.
- Make sure that "Laptop Display Panel (1280x1024)" is listed at the right side of Monitor icon, then click on [Close].
- From the "Display Properties" window, you can select "Colors" and "Screen area" as you wish. This completes the driver installation.
