To install the driver
Preparing for Installation
  Solo System CD 6.9P
Windows 98 Second Edition CD

  1. Start the Windows.

  2. Insert the Solo System CD into your either CD/DVD-ROM drive.

    If "Portable System CD" window pops up on your Windows desktop screen, close the window by clicking [x] mark where is located at the top of the right-hand side corner of the window.

  3. On your screen, locate and click on [Start] button.  From the Start menu, click on [Run].

  4. In "Open" text box, type as below, then click on [OK].  The [Welcome] window appears.

    (D:) represents a letter of CD/DVD-ROM drive and vary in each system. If you do not know a letter of your CD/DVD-ROM drive, double click on [My Computer] icon. At the bottom of CD/DVD-ROM icon, there is a drive letter of CD/DVD-ROM drive like a (D:),(E:),(R:) and so on.

  5. Click [Next].  The [Software License Agreement] window appears.

  6. Read through the license agreement.  Click on [Yes] to agree with it and install the driver.  Files are copied onto your hard disk and "Setup Complete" window appears.

  7. Select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now", take out the System CD, and click on [Finish] to restart your computer.  Once Windows is restarted, the "Insert Disk" window appears.

  8. Insert Windows 98 Second Edition CD into your CD/DVD-ROM drive and click on [OK].  The "New Hardware Found" window with the message "The file 'ksclock.ax' on Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM cannot be found" appears.

  9. In the text box "Copy files from", type D:\win98 and then click on [OK].zz

  10. Click [OK].The [New Hardware Found] window with the message "The file 'MSPCLOCK.sys' on Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM cannot be found" appears.

  11. In the text box "Copy files from", type D:\win98 and then click on [OK].  The [DeskTop Help] window appears.

  12. Click [X] button to close the window.  If you do not wish this window to come up every time you start Windows, remove a checkmark from "Show window at start up".  >This completes the driver installation.

    To confirm the Installation

  1. Locate and click on [Start], [Settings], and [Control Panel].

  2. Double click on [System] icon and click on "Device Manager" tab.

  3. On the "Device Manager" window, click [+] sign next to the "Display adapters" and "Sound, video and game controllers".  You will see "RAGE MOBILITY-P AGP (English)" below the "Display adapters", and "ATI WDM Bt829Pro Video Capture", "Specialized MVD WDM VBI Codec" below the "Sound, video and game controllers".
