Procedure with pictures
- Start the Windows.
- Insert the System CD into your either CD/DVD-ROM drive.

 |  | If [Configuration tool] window pops up on your Windows desktop screen, close the window by clicking [x] mark where is located at the top of the right-hand side corner of the window. |
- On your screen, locate and click on [Start] button. From the Start menu, click on [Run].
- In "Open" text box, type as below, then click on [OK].
D:\Win95-98\Audio\AudioPCI\Digital\English\Sbsetup.exe note
 |  | (D:) represents a letter of CD/DVD-ROM drive and vary in each system. If you do not know a letter of your CD/DVD-ROM drive, double click on [My Computer] icon. At the bottom of CD/DVD-ROM icon, there is a drive letter of CD/DVD-ROM drive like a (D:),(E:),(R:) and so on. |
- When the [SBSetup] window appears, select "Remove and Install Software" and click on [Next].
- When the [SBSetup] window with the message "The Sound Blaster Setup has finished removing all other Sound Blaster Software from your system" appears, click on [Next].
- When the [Inset Disk] window appears, click on [OK].
- When the [New Hardware Found] window with the message "The file 'xxxxx.xxx' on Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 64D Driver Disk cannot be found" appears, type D:\Win95-98\Audio\AudioPCI\Digital\English in the text box "Copy files from", and then click on [OK].
- Files are copied onto your hard disk and the message "The CREATIVE SB AudioPCI 64D Sound Blaster Setup has finished modifying your system" appears, click on [Finish].
- When the [System Settings Change] window appears, click on [Yes] to restart your computer. This completes the driver installation.
To confirm the Installation
- Locate and click on [Start], [Settings], and [Control Panel].
- Double click on [System] icon and click on [Device Manager] tab.
- On the [Device Manager] window, click [+] sign next to the "Sound, video and game controllers". You will see "Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 64D" and "SB AudioPCI 64D Legacy Device" below the "Sound, video and game controllers".
